Beware of Frauds Ahead of Eid

As Eid al-Fitr approaches, the risk of scams tends to increase. Stay alert and recognize common fraud schemes so your special moments remain safe.

Safety Tips

Impersonating a family member by sending messages or making calls and urgently asking for money transfers.

Do not rush to transfer funds without verifying through another channel.

Posing as a courier by sending fake tracking links or requesting additional payments.

Use official marketplaces, applications or channels when making transactions and ignore suspicious links.

Sending suspicious links related to Eid promotions, THR bonuses or special gift.

Activate transaction notifications on your mobile banking app and ignore suspicious links.

Requesting OTP, PIN, CVV or Password under the pretext of account verification.

Never share personal or banking information with anyone, including those claiming to represent DBS Bank.

Sending apk. files disguised as digital Eid greeting cards to deceive victims.

Do not open or download suspicious digital greeting files, especially those in .apk format.
