A Strong Commitment to Meaningful Impact
Through DBS Foundation, we are committed to allocating Rp222 billion over the next 10 years since 2024, including financial inclusion to support women's empowerment. This support focuses on vulnerable women facing economic challenges, including women MSME owners, women farmers, young women, and people with disabilities.
Here are several DBS Foundation programs for women's empowerment:
Basic Financial Management
Together with The Asia Foundation, as of April 2026, we have reached 32,929 women in West Kalimantan (out of a target of 80,000) to take part in training on expense tracking, saving habits, and family financial planning.
In addition, together with Humanis, as of April 2026, we have trained 1,942 women farmers in East Nusa Tenggara (out of a target of 4,000) to improve agricultural productivity, financial conditions, and family nutrition.
Work Readiness Assistance
Together with Plan International Indonesia, as of April 2026, we have reached 4,018 vulnerable young people, including women, in Jabodetabek, Medan, and Surabaya (out of a target of around 60,000) to take part in financial literacy and career readiness training in UI/UX, graphic design, and social media marketing.
Microbusiness Development
Together with Mercy Corps, as of April 2026, we have reached 19,323 women microentrepreneurs in Medan, Semarang, and Surabaya (out of a target of 40,000) to take part in training and mentoring on business financial management, financial services and products, and digital marketing.
