Card Block Request or Scam Trap? Ever got a message or call saying there’s a suspicious transaction on your debit or credit card, and you’re told to click a link to block it? Be careful that could be a scam trying to make you panic and give away your personal info without realizing it.
Don’t get tricked! DBS will never ask for your OTP, PIN, CVV, or tell you to click a link or download a file to “block your card.”
Spot the Scam: 🚩 You get an SMS, WhatsApp, email, or call claiming to be from the bank. 🚩 You're asked to click a link or download a file to “block your card” — turns out, it's phishing. 🚩 You're asked for your OTP, PIN, CVV, or card details.
Stay Safe with These Tips: ✔ Never share your OTP, PIN, CVV, or card details with anyone. These are used for your own transactions — if it wasn’t you, contact DBSI Customer Centre using the number on the back of your card or via Live Chat in the digibank by DBS app. ✔ Don’t click suspicious links from unknown messages or emails. ✔ To block or replace your card, use Live Chat (for credit cards) or go to the "Others" menu (for debit cards) in the digibank by DBS app.
Always make sure every transaction is made by you, and only through official DBS channels.
