Common Reporting Standard (CRS)

4 Oktober 2016

PT Bank DBS Indonesia will effectively implement Common Reporting Standard (CRS) starting from 3 January 2017. CRS is an international reporting standard as a prove of Indonesia Government along with Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to prevent tax evasion and protect the integrity of the current taxation system. Under CRS, Bank has to identify your tax residency status. If you are a tax resident in a country which has signed Competent Authority Agreement with Indonesia, Bank may disclose your account information to Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) and tax authorities in Indonesia and/or other authorities to tax authorities on Partnering Countries or Jurisdiction Partner.

Ammendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation Related To Foreign Exchange Transaction Against Rupiah

29 February 2016

In accordance with SEBI No.17/49/DPM and SEBI No.17/50/DPM which are the technical guide for PBI No. 16/16/PBI/2014 as lastly amended by PBI No. 17/15/PBI/2015 (Foreign Exchange Transaction Against Rupiah between Banks and Domestic Party) and PBI No. 16/17/PBI/2014 as lastly amended by PBI No. 17/16/PBI/2015 (Foreign Exchange Transaction Against Rupiah between Banks and Foreign Party), the supporting documents that apply to foreign exchange transactions against Rupiah more details as per appendix LIST OF UNDERLYING DOCUMENTS - EFFECTIVE 1 MARCH 2016. Furthermore, some of changes that listed in Bank Indonesia Circular Letter mentioned above, as follows: 

  1. Increased Forward sell threshold without underlying transaction from USD 1 million to USD 5 million or its equivalent / transaction / customer.
  2. Prohibition of using Securities of Bank Indonesia (SBBI) in foreign currencies as underlying document of buy foreign exchange against rupiah, through spot and / or derivatives transactions is not allowed.
  3. Proof of ownership foreign currency funds in domestic and overseas  can be used as underlying documents for foreign currency transactions Forward Sell, with the condition where amount and transaction period of the transaction is no more than amount and period of fund ownership.
  4. Changes to the Underlying Transactions on credit-related, became as follows:

a) Applied only to loans that have been disbursed (excluding undisbursed loan)

b) Maximum period and amount of foreign currency transactions is the same as period and credit withdrawal amount

  1. Settlement of forward sell transactions shall not exceed the threshold and / or full settlement forward sell transaction with the underlying foreign currency funds ownership

Announcement in RTGS & SKN Limit Changes

10 November 2015

In accordance with Letter from Bank Indonesia No. 17/53/DPSP regarding Implementation Plan of BI-RTGS system, BI-SSSS dan BI-ETP Generation II dated 10 November 2015, hereby we would like to inform you on limit changes applied to transfer limit amount of BI-RTGS System and SKN effective 16 November 2015:

  1. Fund transfer through BI-RTGS System will be applied for amount above IDR 500.000.000,00 per transaction
  2. Fund transfer through SKN is available for any amount (no limitation)
Effective on 1 July 2016
  1. Fund transfer through BI-RTGS System will be applied for amount above IDR 100.000.000,00
  2. Fund transfer through SKN is applied for any amount up to IDR 500.000.000,00

Changes in Accelerated Repayment Fee and Cancellation of Dana Bantuan Sahabat Facility

Ammendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation Related to Foreign Exchange Transaction Against Rupiah

September 4, 2015

In accordance with PBI No.17/13/PBI/2015 and PBI No.17/14/PBI/2015 which are the Second Amendment of PBI No. 16/16/PBI/2014 (Transaction of Foreign Exchange against Rupiah between the Bank and the Domestic Parties) and PBI No.16/17/PBI/2014 (Transaction of Foreign Exchange against Rupiah between the Bank with the Foreign Parties):

  1. The threshold to purchase Foreign Currency against Rupiah by the Customer to the Bank through Spot transactions which require to have the Underlying Transaction, are lowered from USD 100,000.00 (one hundred thousand US dollars) to USD25,000.00 (twenty five thousand US dollars) or its equivalent per month per customer.
  2. In the case of the nominal value of the Underlying Transaction is not in the multiples of USD 5,000.00 (five thousand US dollars) then the nominal value of the Underlying Transaction can be rounded up to the multiples of USD 5,000.00 (five thousand US dollars).

 



Obligation to Use Rupiah in Domestic Transaction

In accordance with Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015 dated March 31, 2015 and Bank Indonesia Circulation Letter No. 17/11/DKSP dated June 1, 2015 regarding Obligation of Utilization of Rupiah in the Territory of Republic of Indonesia, every bank that operates in Indonesia is obligated to inform its customer that effective July 1, 2015, all transactions executed in the Territory of Republic of Indonesia, either conducted by resident or non-resident, in the form of cash transaction or non-cash transaction shall use Rupiah currency.
